Program

Gabe the Guardian sends one daily SMS check-in to each enrolled senior. After the caregiver signs up, both the senior and caregiver receive a one-time opt-in confirmation text. No further messages are sent unless the recipient replies YES.

Message frequency

Varies. A typical day with one reply is 3 messages (Gabe → senior, senior → Gabe, Gabe → caregiver). If the senior keeps chatting, additional companion replies follow, capped at 20 per hour per senior.

Costs

Standard message and data rates may apply. Gabe the Guardian does not charge for SMS.

Opt-out

Reply STOP to any Gabe text to unsubscribe. One confirmation message will follow. Reply START to resume.

Consent for the senior

When a caregiver enrolls a senior, the caregiver attests they have permission. Before any check-ins begin, Gabe texts the senior directly to confirm consent. Daily check-ins only start after the senior replies YES.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
